The Sinking City 2 Keys: Graveyard Key, Star Key & Every Locked Door
Locked doors in The Sinking City 2 come in three flavors: key locks, combination locks, and barriers that need a tool. Combinations live on the safe codes page — this page tracks the keys and tools.
Church & Graveyard Key
The key everyone searches for in Chapter 2 is on the corpse next to the church blockage switch at Redemption Church. It opens two doors:
- The top floor of the church, where the Trident sits (start of the church mystery).
- The mausoleum in the graveyard outside, which holds one of the three Printing Plates for the Cursed Press.
If you’re standing at the graveyard gate without it, backtrack to the blockage lever — the body is right there.
Star Key
Found inside Redemption Church during the floodgate investigation. It opens the second-floor room containing the third piece of floodgate evidence — the last clue for the 1672 padlock. If you already know the code you can skip the detour, but the room also holds lore documents worth grabbing.
Tools That Open Doors
| Tool | Opens | Where it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Bolt cutters | Chained doors | The Fishing Shop side room with the Buoy Locker (Ezekiel case) |
| Anti-Rust Acid | Corroded locks | The hospital basement storage door before the 1308 padlock |
| Crane controls | Whale blockage | Moves the whale to open the path to the Fire Department house (third Printing Plate) |
Late-Game Doors
Mansion-wing door keys and the aph-key naming that circulates in search results are still being verified against late-game chapters — this page is updated as each is confirmed. Meanwhile the walkthrough hub tracks which chapter each locked area belongs to.
